City Attorney's Office

The City Attorney represents the City in all legal matters, prosecutes city code and state law violations, oversees deferred prosecution, and gives notice and assistance to crime victims.

City Clerk's Office

The City Clerk's Office manages all council documents, is responsible for public records management, and also serves as the Chief Elections Officer for the City.

City Court

The Municipal Court handles criminal misdemeanors, traffic violations, city code violations, injunctions prohibiting harassment and orders of protection.

City Manager's Office

The city manager assembles the staff of the city, assures that all applicable laws and governmental standards are adhered to, and implements the policies and direction of the Mayor and City Council.

Development and Engineering

The Development and Engineering department handles the design and construction of city streets, parks, trails, and infrastructure such as water and sewer systems.

Economic Development

This department helps to retain existing businesses and facilitate new business and economic partnerships within the City of Peoria.

Finance Department

Provides accounting and financial reporting, utility billing and collection services, sales tax and business licensing services and purchasing services to city departments, elected officials and citizens. The Management and Budget office develops and manages the City's annual operating budget, forecasts citywide revenues, expenditures, and fund balances, and provides strategic planning services to city organizations.

Fire-Medical

Provides fire protection, emergency medical services, technical rescue, safety training, fire code enforcement, and public fire education programs and community relations events.

Human Resources

Includes a list of employment opportunities and job openings with the city, along with information about compensation, benefits, and wellness.

Intergovernmental Affairs

Responsible for advocating for and protecting the City’s interests before the U.S. Congress, Arizona State Legislature, and regional governing bodies.

Mayor and City Council

The City of Peoria is run by a Mayor and six elected City Councilmembers. Also features Council District info and Councilmember biographies.

Neighborhood and Human Services

Comprised of the Code Compliance, Community Assistance, Family & Youth Services, and the Arts, Culture, & Special Events divisions.

Office of Communications

Handles all public-facing communication for the City including print and online materials. Also handles Press and Media inquiries, News and Press Releases, and Channel 11 television.

Office of Real Estate Development

Works closely with the Economic Development Services Department to bring new commercial and industrial development to the city.

Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities Department

The Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities Department oversees several divisions including the city's Parks and Trails, Recreation Programs, and Community Facilities including the Community Center, Recreation Center, Libraries, and Sports Complex.

Planning and Zoning

Establishes, implements, and administers standards for city planning, zoning, and development policies.

Police Department

The Peoria Police Department is committed to partnering with the community to ensure a high quality of life and safety, maintaining community trust, and preserving life and property.

Public Works

Handles city services including Solid Waste (Trash and Recycling), Streets, and Transportation.

Water Services

Handles the city's water and utility services, water quality, conservation programs, and more.
