The City of Peoria's sustainability and water conservation efforts seek to reduce the City’s effect on the environment, conserve our precious natural resources, and encourage citizens to meet their needs without compromising the ability of future generations to thrive in our desert environment.

In Peoria, water conservation is a way of life. Peoria actively protects and preserves its diverse water supply through aquifer recharge, direct reuse of reclaimed water for landscaping and other non-drinking water demands, as well as planning and building reliable water infrastructure. Peoria has robust education and outreach programs for adults and youth to help ensure that residents can successfully embrace the desert and use water wisely at home and in the landscape. Peoria offers several programs to help increase water conservation and efficiency in our community:

Peoria has a blend of internal programs and practices that move our organization to a sustainable future while also offering education opportunities to help our citizens and community take sustainable steps.
