Why was my garbage missed?
Many times containers are blocked, over loaded with branches, items are not bagged, or the container was not out by 6:00 a.m. Contact the Customer Service Center at (623) 773-7160 for assistance.
Neighbors keep leaving containers out on the sidewalk after the pick up hours, who do I call to report this?
You can call the Customer Center at (623) 773-7160. A Solid Waste Inspector will make contact with the residents. Trash and recycle barrels must be brought out on the assigned collection day by 6:00 a.m. and returned to private property by 6:00 p.m. on the same day.
What Items Are Household Hazardous Waste?
Motor Oil, Paint, Paint Thinners, Pesticides, Batteries, Anti-Freeze, Gasoline, Insecticides, Household Cleaners, Hobby Supplies, Pool Chemicals, Roofing Sealers, Gardening supplies, and up to four (4) on-road tires. Absolutely NO Ammunition, Guns, or Radio Active Materials. If you are not sure if an item is considered household hazardous waste...call the Customer Service Center at (623) 773-7160.
What do I do with my household hazardous waste?
Peoria offers hazardous household waste collection "by appointment" to residents who have regular residential solid waste services. Please watch the HHW homepage for information about scheduling a home pickup. You can also contact the Customer Service Center at (623) 773-7160 to obtain the schedule for the next Household Hazardous Waste Drop Off event.
How do I dispose of loose trash?
We provide a bulk/loose trash clean-up program twice a year for residents. You can also schedule a Special Haul by calling our Customer Service Center at (623) 773-7160. There is a fee of $25.00 for every fifteen minutes required to load the items.
