The Citizen's Ride-Along Program provides citizens with an insight into Police activities and functions by riding with a uniformed patrol officer, during a normal shift, under controlled conditions. To participate in the program, follow the directions below for completing and submitting the waiver form.
The Peoria Police Department ride-along program is offered to Peoria residents, citizen academy attendees, applicants, employee family members, and City employees. Every reasonable attempt will be made to accommodate interested persons. A citizen may be disqualified with or without cause from participating in the program. Citizens must be at least 16 years old to participate.
The following factors may be considered in disqualifying an applicant and are not limited to:
- Criminal history
- Pending criminal action
- Pending lawsuit against the Department
- Denial by any supervisor
Directions for Submitting the Ride-Along Waiver Form:
Step 1: Download the Ride-Along Waiver Form (PDF) to your computer desktop.
Step 2: Open the fillable PDF form and complete all the form fields and do a SAVE AS to your computer.
Step 3: Email the completed form to PoliceRideAlong@peoriaaz.gov.
