Rio Vista Dances

Dances are for 6th - 8th graders. Drinks, food, and snacks will be sold while supplies last.

Rio Vista Valentine's Day Dance

Teen Nights

Teen Nights at Rio VistaMadden 19 Tournament

Join us at Rio Vista and stiff arm your way to victory. Fee includes pizza & drink. Trophy to 1st and 2nd place finishers. Snacks available to purchase.

Fee: $5 per participant, maximum 35 players

Lights Out Neon Dodgeball

Rio Vista's first black light Dodgeball Tournament! Bring your friends or come as a free agent and battle under the black lights. Pizza and a drink included.

Bubble Battles at Rio Vista

Flagstaff Extreme Ropes Course

Who's ready to challenge themselves with extreme heights at Flagstaff's extreme ropes course? Head up north with the Teens for fun and excitement. Make sure to bring water and a lunch. Breakfast snacks provided.

Arizona Snowbowl

Join the Teen Team on a trip to Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff. Trip includes rental skis or snowboard equipment, transportation, supervision, lift ticket, a 2-hour group beginner lesson and breakfast. Upon registration, more information will be emailed regarding supplies needed and expectations.

Nerf Wars
Ages 13-16 can join us for an exciting battle throughout the Community Center. Bring your Nerf gun; we will supply the darts. FREE.  Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Course # 99795

Laser Tag
Teens 13-16 can join us for a classic game of hide and seek and tag with a high tech twist. $5 per person. Sat, Oct. 13, 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Course # 99859

Learn How to Play Pool
Teens age 13-17 can meet at the Community Center to play a little billiards. Two tables are available on a first come, first serve basis. Proper identification and Pool 101 Orientation required. Play limited to one game when others are waiting. FREE. Course # 95340. Saturdays, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Fitness/Dance Room (for youth and family)
We welcome fitness buffs and dancers alike to enjoy the Fitness Room at the Community Center. Dancers may schedule the use of the room in 45 minute blocks between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Use of the Fitness Room is for practice that does not involve any paid instruction classes.

Fitness Room and equipment is available to ages 16+ with signed fitness waiver. Call 623-773-7436 for public availability. There can be no paid instruction of any kind.

Peoria Youth Advisory Board

Make a difference in your community, make new friends, learn leadership skills, and get involved! If you are currently in grades 7th-11th and a City of Peoria resident, you are eligible to join. The Youth Advisory Board consists of nineteen local youth who advise the City Council, through the City Manager, on recreation programs, events, ordinances and proposals pertaining to youth within our community. Representatives are appointed by City Council, from all areas of the City, from local, charter, and private schools. For more information, contact the City Clerk’s office at (623) 773-7340.

Genesis Youth Center

Inside the Peoria Community Center, 8335 W. Jefferson St.
Youth ages 14-21 can receive employment and educational services such as resume writing, interviewing skills, career exploration, federal student aid assistance, financial literacy, understanding job applications, job seeking, life skills workshops and soft skill workshops at the center. The Genesis Youth Center is a collaboration between the Maricopa County Human Services, Workforce Development Division and the City of Peoria and is funded by the Workforce Investment Act.
