Summer Camp Update:
The Request for Care for the 2020 Summer Camp is now closed, due to overwhelming interest and limited space. If you submitted a Request of Care you will be informed of your status via email within 48 hours.
We have provided additional resources for childcare below.
On Wednesday, May 12, Peoria Mayor Cathy Carlat issued a Third Proclamation that calls for the gradual reopening of city buildings and facilities beginning May 18. Youth and Family Services will be opening the summer camp option with very limited availability on June 15. There will be a request for care form available online on May 26 at 7 a.m., on a first come, first serve basis. Update: request for care forms for 2020 are now closed.
We look forward to resuming youth services summer camp, although we do so with your health and safety in mind. There will be modifications to the regular summer camp model, which includes programming that best follows state, federal and CDC guidelines on ratios, safety and sanitation.
We understand that things will be very different this year, especially check-in. Here is a short video previewing what we will be doing during check in and an overview of some of the cleaning procedures and programming at a typical Summer Camp site.
