The City of Peoria offers a wide range of activities for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families/caregivers. From after-school programs to dances and parties to workshops for parents and the award-winning Special Olympics program, Team Peoria. Peoria offers the premier Adaptive Recreation program in the West Valley, which draws people from neighboring cities including Glendale, Surprise, Buckeye, Avondale, Goodyear, and others.
