The City of Peoria special events and arts team is hosting a series of events, food, theater and live music in the heart of Old Town Peoria. Events are held both indoors and outdoors at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts, in Osuna Park, and on Washington Street in front of Fire Station No. 1 – Lucidi Distilling Co. Old Town is developing as a center for culture and the arts as more programming and events are offered in this central location. Every weekend this fall and winter, you can catch a variety of entertainment and food options.

Second-Saturdays in Old Town Peoria

 

Second Saturdays

Starting Oct. 12, 2019 and continuing every second Saturday of the month through May 9, 2020, Peoria will be hosting a local arts and food experience in Old Town called Second Saturdays. The event will take place on Washington Street and 83rd Avenue in Old Town Peoria from 4:30-8:30 p.m., including Osuna Park, the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts, Fire Station No. 1 – Lucidi Distilling Co., Iron Key Studio, and Driftwood Coffee.

Bring your family and friends and explore live musical performances, outdoor games, art, specialty vendors, food trucks, and one of a kind pop-up restaurants. These events are free to the public. However, there is a charge if you wish to dine at one of the the pop-up restaurant experiences. Each $30 ticket includes a unique theme dinner menu and beautiful vintage settings in historic Old Town Peoria.

Live Music Performances

McCloskey Voice Studio 

Mary Jane McCloskey runs a voice studio in Phoenix, giving vocal training to students. Her students will be performing this 2nd Saturday showcasing their talent!

Matt Hopper & The Roman Candles
Matt Hopper & The Roman Candles are an American rock and roll band that has been releasing music since 1999. A dizzying array of music rooted in classic rock tradition and modern rock experimentation with a penchant for stargazey jams and tender folk lie within their catalog. Think Wilco, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and My Morning Jacket. 

 

Beer Garden Stage

Raquel Denis
Raquel Denis is a practicing poet and musician, writing about her life as an Afrolatina in Arizona and the experiences her community faces. She was recently featured on KJZZ's Tiny Desert Concert.

Cameron Degurski 
Straightforward, honest, and un-apologetically raw, Arizona singer-songwriter Cameron DeGurski doesn't mind baring his soul behind the microphone.  As a self-proclaimed "purveyor of sounds and feels," DeGurski offers listeners an intimately candid sonic glimpse into his heart and mind with each performance. 

Estevan Coralles
Estevan Coralles is a singer song writer born and raised in Arizona. Songs and sounds blend the funky smooth stylings of reggae, R&B, and country bluegrass. He plays at 5pm at the beer garden stage and his music can be heard on Soundcloud!

These new, family-friendly events are FREE and will bring a variety of entertainment options to the Old Town Peoria area.
