NAMI– Building Better Lives for Those Affected by Mental Illness


NAMI Valley of the Sun is the Maricopa County affiliate of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. NAMI is dedicated to improving quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education, and advocacy. NAMI provides education programs at no cost throughout Maricopa County. This seminar will provide an overview of family programs, peer programs, programs for teachers and school administrators, programs for veterans and their families, support groups, and many more! Becoming a Care Provider


Care of people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities has changed greatly over the years. As of 2011, more than 700,000 people nationally with intellectual disabilities were living with caregivers over the age of 60.  Join us at the Mosaic seminar to learn about how services have moved beyond the group home, and how you can be paid to provide a person with intellectual disabilities a meaningful life in a caring environment.
