Through Each Others Eyes: A Cultural Retrospective

30th Anniversary Commemorative Exhibit

A print photography exhibition featuring images from Arizona photographers who have participated in the organization's photo exchanges over the past 30 years.

Twenty-two photographers with images taken in 16 countries are featured in a special 30th anniversary exhibit of the non-profit Arizona based organization Through Each Others Eyes. West Valley Art Museum is pleased to host this unique show of outstanding photography representing the people and cultures from around the world. Notable photographers from Arizona journey periodically to selected countries and, in turn, photographers from those lands travel to our State to pursue similar photography opportunities.

Also on view are several costumes from the West Valley Art Museum permanent collection of global textiles and ethnic dress.

Opening Reception: Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm

Photographer Kerrick James Presentation
Thursday, November 15, 2018 - 4:00 pm

In connection with this exhibit, there will be a presentation by photographer Kerrick James on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 4:00 pm. The program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments provided.

Featuring the art of Peoria Unified School District Faculty

The Peoria Unified School District celebrates a tradition of visual and performing arts instruction at all campuses throughout the district. The 2018 Faculty Showcase highlights several members of our faculty spotlighting their talent as artists.

Peoria Unified School District has 140 Arts faculty members who provide instruction in the content areas of art, ceramics, photography, dance, band, choir, and theater to over 37,000 students.

All Peoria Unified School District visual art teachers have a focus on student learning through quality curriculum and instruction that supports the District's mission of every student, every day, prepared to shape tomorrow.

Library Art Gallery at the Main Library is located inside the Main Library lobby. Admission is free.
