ABOUT THE BANDS
Los Lobos started as a garage band in 1973 in east Los Angeles and has consistently evolved artistically, while never losing sight of their humble roots. Perez, the band’s drummer, once called their powerhouse mix of rock, Tex-Mex, country, folk, R&B, blues and traditional Spanish and Mexican music “the soundtrack of the barrio.” Three Grammys, a worldwide smash single (“La Bamba”) and thousands of rollicking performances across the globe, Los Lobos is surviving quite well -- and still jamming with the same raw intensity as they had when they began. The band leapt headfirst into their fifth decade with the 2015 release of the fresh and exciting album, “Gates of Gold,” their first full-length studio album since 2010’s “Tin Can Trust.” For more information on the band, visit www.loslobos.org.
The power trio Los Lonely Boys (Henry, Ringo and Jojo Garza) hails from San Angelo, Texas, and play a style of music they call "Texican Rock n' Roll," combining elements of rock and roll, Texas blues, brown-eyed soul, country, and Tejano. The group's first single, "Heaven," reached number one on the Adult Contemporary chart, and number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, and number 11 at top 40. "Heaven" was featured in Guitar Hero: On Tour. In 2005, the song won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. Other songs nominated for Grammys include "More Than Love" and "Onda," both in 2006. Revelation is their latest album released in 2014. Visit https://loslonelyboys.com for more about the band.
