Deputy City Manager
Erik Strunk has more than 25 years of experience in Arizona local government. He has been a long-time employee at the city of Glendale, most recently serving as the director for their Public Facilities, Recreation, and Special Events Department. Strunk was a chief architect of their neighborhood services and oversaw parks, recreation, library, housing, and arts functions among others. Additionally, Strunk has been active in citizen engagement initiatives, working with many of Glendale’s boards and commissions, and has served in numerous high-profile interim roles. Strunk received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, and his master’s degree in public administration from Bowling Green State University.
