About the Development and Engineering Department
The Development and Engineering Department is responsible for providing coordination of site development services for new and renewal development within the City of Peoria along with in-house professional engineering services, which includes project management for streets, drainage and traffic signal capital improvement projects; inspection of private development projects, capital improvement projects, dry utilities and custom home grading and drainage; and traffic management.
In Spring 2015, the Development Division was combined with the Engineering Department to create the Development and Engineering Department. The following divisions comprise the Development and Engineering Department:
Administration Division, Including Business Services
Architectural Services Division
Building Division, Including Building Inspections
Engineering Services Division, Including Engineering Inspections
Traffic Engineering Division

The City of Peoria Building Development Division is proposing an amendment to Table 2-209 of Chapter 2 – Administration of the City Code, which will effectively amend certain building permit fees, review fees, and inspection fees. Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 9-499.15, all City Code amendments shall be posted for public review for a period of no less than 60 days prior to City Council action.
