Peoria Hosts First West Valley Arizona Storytellers Project

Peoria is launching the first of an ongoing series of storytelling events with The Arizona Storytellers Project, part of the USA Today Network, at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts. “Arizona Storytellers: New Beginnings” will focus on change and will feature stories about the choices, discoveries, and even the accidents that change our lives.

 The Wednesday, Jan. 24 performance will be the first Arizona Storytellers Project event in the West Valley. It will take place from 7-9 p.m. at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts located at 10580 N. 83rd Dr. The Storytellers Project is a series of live storytelling nights featuring true, first-person stories from neighbors and notables who have a story they are willing to share in 6-10 minutes in front of a live audience. Karina Bland, a columnist for the Arizona Republic, will be emceeing the event.
