Devour the World Comes to Peoria

Post Date:01/07/2020

PEORIA, Ariz. (Jan. 7, 2019) – The most anticipated culinary week of the season, Devour Week, returns Feb. 15 - 23, 2020. This year it is making a special stop in Peoria for Devour the World, one of three signature events at Devour Week. Devour the World will bring international flavors and one of Arizona’s most popular food events to Peoria on Saturday, Feb. 15 at Centennial Plaza, located at 9875 N. 85th Avenue.

“Peoria’s events scene continues to get better and better, and I am thrilled to have this multicultural, culinary adventure coming to the heart of our city,” said Mayor Cathy Carlat. “I can’t wait for family and friends to gather as they ‘Devour the World’ together.”

Devour the World celebrates international cuisine with cultural music and dance performances from around the world. This is the first year that Devour the World is moving from Phoenix to the Northwest Valley, expanding the reach of Devour Phoenix and Devour Week to make this unique cultural festival more accessible to West Valley residents.

Devour Week aims to elevate Arizona’s culinary and cocktail culture and spotlight the region as a world-class destination for food and dining. Started in 2009 by Kimber Lanning, Founder of Local First Arizona, Devour Phoenix is an initiative of Local First Arizona and collaborative of local chefs working to create a food and dining scene worthy of national prestige. The cornerstone of this coalition is Devour Week, a multi-event food and drink experience hosted annually.
