Census 2020 is Safe and Secure

Post Date:12/04/2019 4:41 PM

By law, the U.S. Census Bureau cannot share individual answers to the census, including welfare agencies, the Immigration and Naturalization Service, the Internal Revenue Service, courts, police and the military. The numbers published by the Census Bureau are combined with thousands of answers from other people across the country. Only sworn Census Bureau employees can see your responses and there are severe penalties for any census employee that makes your answers known. Census 2020 counts begin on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, which is National Census Day. Cities and states rely on these population counts to determine what state-shared revenue they will receive. This money is used to fund essential city services like public safety, roads, parks, hospitals and schools. Each person counted is worth $3,000 in public services.
