AM/PM Recreation Program
August 11, 2008 - May 21, 2009

The Peoria AM/PM Recreation Program, co-sponsored with the Peoria Unified School District, is the perfect solution for working parents in need of childcare before and after school.  AM/PM offers K-6 grade children a well-rounded program in a secure environment, conveniently located on all Peoria Elementary school campuses.  All sites are state licensed and DES assistance is available for qualified participants.

NEW PAYMENT CHANGE EFFECTIVE SUMMER 2008

Beginning this year, AM/PM sites will no longer accept weekly payments on site.  Please see your registration packet for weekly payment options.  Sites will continue to accept new registrations with check or money order only.

PROGRAM INFORMATION:

Ages:  Children enrolled in K - 6 grades. 

Time: 
A.M. Program:  6:30 a.m. - start of school 
P.M. Program   School Release - 6 p.m. (1st hour P.M. is defined as 2pm to 3pm or 2:40pm to 3:40 pm for those school with the later release time)
(The program does open at dismissal time on early release days) 

Safety:
A parent, or authorized person, must sign a child in/out of the program each time they attend.  A sibling may also sign out a program participant if the parent has given their written consent.

The Peoria A.M./P.M. Program is offered at all 20 elementary schools within Peoria city limits: Alta Loma, Apache, Cheyenne, Cotton Boll, Country Meadows, Coyote Hills, Desert Harbor, Frontier, Ira Murphy, Oakwood, Oasis, Parkridge, Paseo Verde, Peoria, Santa Fe, Sky View, Sundance, Sun Valley, Vistancia and Zuni Hills. 


Highlights:
A.M./P.M. features licensed staff, nutritious snacks, and a well-balanced program.  Recreational instructors also visit the sites each week to teach specialty classes.  The program provides an opportunity for children to participate in a variety of recreational activities and develop social skills in a supervised and safe environment.


Registration: 

Registration packets are available at:

  • Peoria Development and Community Services Building: 9875 N. 85th Ave (Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm)
  • Current Summer Camp Sites until August 1
  • The AM/PM sites during program hours or at any elementary school office within Peoria.

Parents must complete an A.M./P.M. registration packet, including immunization records and information for four (4) emergency contact, to enroll their child in the program.  Completed registration packets may be returned to Community Services or to the program site after the 4th day.  Registration is accepted throughout the school year. 


PROGRAM FEES
A $30 NON-REFUNDABLE registration fee, first week usage fee and automatic $56 deposit are due at the time of registration for all participants.  Weekly program fees are due each Monday for the week of participation.  Late payment and late pick-up fees also apply.  DES funding is available for qualified participants.  For more information regarding DES funding or the program, contact Liz at (623) 773-7133.

Welcome to the Peoria AM/PM Recreation Program.  Addressed below are several of program policies in order to avoid misunderstanding.  Thanks again for trusting us with your child care and recreation needs, we look forward to another successful year.

Enrollment fees:
The registration fee, along with first week and $56 for the last week are all due at the time of enrollment.  The weekly usage fee is based on the schedule indicated on your child's enrollment form.  For part-time participants, any amount of the $56 that is not used on the last week of the program will be made available for refund at the end of the school year.

Program fees:
Program fees are due each week on MONDAY of the week of participation.  A $20 late fee will be assessed on Wednesday for any payments still outstanding.

Refunds/Credits:
No refunds or credits will be given due to absence or illness.  You can avoid being charged for any day(s) your child will not attend by giving written notice to the program by Thursday of the week prior to the absence. Schedule Changes/Additions:

Participants may NOT show up and attend the program without prior notification to the program.  If your child needs to attend on short notice, parents must call customer service at (623) 773-7139 to make arrangements.  If there is no answer, parents may leave a voice message.  Payment is due the day of participation.  Children will not be accepted into the program if prior arrangements have not been made.

Delinquent Accounts:
Any account balances more than one week past due will result in the participant being dropped from the program.  The account balance and all applicable fees must be paid in full before returning to the program.

Payment Options:

  • Quick Pay – Automatic payment from a credit or debit card – AUTHORIZATION FORM REQUIRED

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) – Automatic withdrawal from a checking account – AUTHORIZATION FORM REQUIRED

  • TeleReg – Automated Telephone available 24/7 -Call 623-773-7725.  You will need your Client ID number and Family Password.  TeleReg is available for current payments only.  You cannot pay over the amount due.  Payments are posted every Monday.

  • Electronic Bill Pay – Many banks offer on-line bill pay.  Check with your bank for this option.

  • RecConnect http://recreation.peoriaaz.gov.  Available 24/7.  You will need your client ID and Family Password.

  • Community Services Offices – Located at 9875 N. 85th Ave.  Customer Service Staff are available Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm except Holidays

  • Phone with Customer Service Staff – Call 623-773-7505, 623-773-7192 or 623-773-7139 with a credit or debit card  Mon-Fri 8am – 5pm except Holidays

Weekly payments will not be accepted at AM/PM school sites.  New registrations will be accepted with a check or money order only.
