Aquatics Program Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

SWIM LESSONS

Q:   When can I register for swim lessons?

A:  Summer session 1 and 2 are now available online.  Non-resident registration begins May 19.  Sessions 3, 4 and 5 are available online starting June 13 at 5:00am.  Non-resident registration for 3-5 begins June 20.

Q:   What level should I register my child?

A:  If your child has never taken lessons before, registration depends on their age:  2 & under = parent/tot; 3-4 years old = preschool, 5-6 years old = level 1, 7 & older = level 2.  If you child took lessons last year, we strongly encourage you to register for the same class they ended the season with.  It is always easier for us to move a child up a level than to move a child down.  If you have questions about the level your child should be in, please stop by one of the pools and speak with the manager.

Q:   How will I know if my child will pass the first session?

A:  Children will not necessarily pass each level they are enrolled in.  We recommend enrolling them in the same level, as it is easier for us to move a child up a level than to move them down.

Q:  Can I register for 2 levels and withdraw from the one I don't need?

A:  Please do NOT register for 2 levels during the same session.  Register for 1 level, and we will make adjustment Su

Q:   My child does does not meet the minimum age requirement, can I still register them?

A:  Although we don't recommend it, you may register a 2 year old for preschool or a 3 year old for level 1.  Please do NOT register an older child to save the spot.

Q:   My child is unable to attend the class, can I get a refund?

A:  Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds after the Thursday prior to the session start.

lthough we don't recommend it, you may register a 2 year old for prescho
