Travel Tips and Information

Peoria Transit will make every effort to provide you with efficient and dependable transportation. 
The following suggestions are designed to make your trip carefree:

*	Give yourself extra time to reach your destination.

*	Watch your step while boarding or exiting vehicle. 

*	Never carry open food or drinks onto the vehicle.
 
*	Passengers must have exact fare – drivers do not make change.
 
*	Seatbelts must be worn at all times. 

*	Please no eating or drinking on the vehicle. 

*	Smoking is prohibited on the vehicle. 

*	Guide/Service animals are the only animals permitted on the vehicle. 

*	Loud and disruptive behavior may result in removal from the vehicle. 

*	Grocery shopping clients are limited to three (3) bags per person. A two-wheeled 
	shopping cart is recommended. 

*	If a client needs a personal care attendant, notify the Reservation’s Office. 

*	Drivers are not permitted to assist wheelchair clients up or down stairs, nor are they 
	permitted to enter a residence or destination point beyond the entry door.

*	Avoid blocking the aisle with objects/parcels. 

*	Avoid prolonged conversations with the driver. 

*	Always use earphones with your music player. 

*	Stay seated until vehicle is completely stopped. 

*	Keep your shirt and your shoes on at all times. 

*	Never carry any type of weapon on the vehicle. 

*	Always have your fare, pass and ID ready for the driver. 

*	Offer front seats to the elderly and disabled.
