naming conventions are
FirstName.LastName@peoriaaz.gov. The old addresses are
still in effect until the end of Calendar Year 2006. See the
Materials Management & Inventory Control Staff page for a list of
the new email addresses.

Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award
We
recently received the "Achievement of Excellence in Procurement
Award." This prestigious recognition is presented by the
National Purchasing Institute to those organizations that
demonstrate excellence by obtaining a benchmark score on a rating of
standardized criteria. The criteria are designed to measure
innovation, professionalism, productivity, and leadership attributes
of the procurement organization.
The
Achievement of Excellence in Procurement is sponsored by the
California Association of Public Purchasing Officers (CAPPO),
Institute for Supply Management (ISM), Florida Association of Public
Purchasing Officers (FAPPO), and National Purchasing Institute (NPI
Accreditation
The City of Peoria
has attained the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing's (NIGP)
Outstanding Agency Accreditation Achievement Award.
This award formally
recognizes excellence in public procurement by establishing a body of standards
that should be in place for a solid purchasing operation. The City of
Peoria joins only 40 other government agencies in the United States and Canada
who have attained this distinction.
