How do I get my vehicle back?
If you are the registered owner or owner’s agent you have the following rights:
-

Cinnabar Ave., Peoria, AZ or by calling (623) 773-5010. The hearing will then be scheduled between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. within five (5) business days from your request. If you do not request a hearing or do not appear for your scheduled hearing, you have waived your rights to a hearing.

You may have your vehicle released to you prior to 30 days under any of the following conditions:
The vehicle was stolen and you filed a stolen vehicle report with the appropriate agency.
The vehicle is subject to bailment and is driven by an employee of a business establishment which includes a parking service or repair garage.
The owner presents satisfactory proof that the owner’s driving privilege has been reinstated; or if
all the following apply:
The owner or owner’s agent was not the person driving at the time of the impound and the owner or owner’s agent is in the business of renting motor vehicles without drivers and the vehicle is registered under A.R.S. 28-2166; or if the spouse or person identified as owner was not the driver at the time of impoundment and they enter into an agreement with the Peoria Police Department which stipulates they will not allow an unlicensed driver arrested in violation of A.R.S. 2-244 paragraph 33, or Extreme DUI, or Aggravated DUI to drive the spouse’s or person’s vehicle within one year of signing the agreement, the spouse or owner will not be eligible to obtain a release of their vehicle before the end of the thirty day impoundment period.
If you are not the owner but are identified on MVD records as having an interest in the vehicle you have the following rights:
-
