The Recreation Center
was designed to provide access and amenities
for individuals without the need to purchase
a pass. Its indoor and outdoor seating areas
offer respite after a long walk along the
trail, or perhaps a place to meet friends
and neighbors. The Public Access Area is
also the ideal location to spend time while
members of the family enjoy other amenities
in the Park. The Public Access Area offers:
The Veterans’ Memorial
can be entered through the Public Access
Area. A bridge links the Recreation Center
to the Memorial.
The Veteran's Memorial Wall pays tribute to
the past, present and future veterans and
their families for the sacrifices they have
made to protect our country, ideas and
virtues. The linear configuration of the
memorial represents a timeline progressing
through the history of our country and
projecting into the future. The graphics
that will be etched into the surface will
pay tribute not to the battles, but to the
individuals that have served our country.
