Urban Fishing Lake
(Located in Rio Vista Community Park on Thunderbird Rd 1/4 mile west of Loop 101)

Size: 2.7 acres

Maximum depth:13 feet

Average depth: 7 feet

This is a "fish and keep" urban lake.  An Urban Fishing License is required and it should be purchased from a licensed dealer

The lake is managed under the Urban Pond Concept* and it is stocked every two weeks with trout or catfish by the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD), unless water or fish conditions .  For updated information on schedules, bates, and other lakes read the AZGFD's Weekly Fishing Report

 

Rules and Regulations:

  • Park Hours: 6:00am to 10:30pm

  • No boating, wading, swimming

  • No pets allowed in the lake

  • Pets must be on leash

  • No harming wildlife

  • No littering / dispose of fishing line properly

  • Operation of model watercraft is prohibited

PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE DUCKS

 

Persons fishing these waters are subject to the rules and regulations governing use established by the City of Peoria and the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

*Daily bag and possession: 2 catfish, 2 trout, 1 bass (13 inch minimum), 5 sunfish, 1 white amur (30 inch minimum)No limit on tilapia or carp.
