Civic and community groups, business organizations and even families in Peoria may join the Adopt-A-Street program. The Adopt-A-Street program requires organizations to make a two year commitment to pick up litter along a designated one mile stretch of roadway, three times a year.
I would like to thank you for your inquiry into the City of Peoria’s Adopt-A-Street program.
Adopt-A-Street is an excellent opportunity that allows residents, 11 years old and older with adult supervision, to support the City’s anti-litter program. At no cost to the participant(s), this program offers the satisfaction of making a contribution to their community.
Here’s how it works: An organization, group or family may apply to adopt a one-mile section of roadway. Through the adoption, the participants will have the responsibility of picking up litter within their specified mile of roadway, a minimum of three times a year over a two year commitment. In return, the City of Peoria will post two prominent signs recognizing the participant or participants. The map is subject to change, please confirm current availability
Participation forms (application, permit, waiver, and sign request forms needed to adopt a street) and instructions for the Adopt-A-Street Program can be downloaded by clicking here.
Once you complete the form, you will need to review the Safety Brochure and Power Point which can be downloaded by clicking here.
