Construction Owner's Association of America, Inc. (COAA)
COAA was founded in 1994 to act as a focal point and voice of the interests of owners in construction. COAA is composed of a diverse group of men and women representing construction owners in America.
COAA is dedicated to making a significant and lasting impact on the construction industry through its leadership by creating a unified, collective voice for owners' issues in the construction process.
The COAA membership comes from both the public and private sector. Including Colleges, Universities, School Districts, Local and State Agencies, Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities, Retail Developers and Private Industry Developers.

Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award
We have obtained the "Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award." This prestigious recognition is presented by the National Purchasing Institute to those organizations that demonstrate excellence by obtaining a benchmark score on a rating of standardized criteria. The criteria are designed to measure innovation, professionalism, productivity, and leadership attributes of the procurement organization.
The Achievement of Excellence in Procurement is sponsored by the California Association of Public Purchasing Officers (CAPPO), Institute for Supply Management (ISM), Florida Association of Public Purchasing Officers (FAPPO), and National Purchasing Institute (NPI)
The City of Peoria has attained the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing's (NIGP) Outstanding Agency Accreditation Achievement Award.
This award formally recognizes excellence in public procurement by establishing a body of standards that should be in place for a solid purchasing operation. The City of Peoria joins only 40 other government agencies in the United States and Canada who have attained this distinction.
