Lab Rules

Computers
are available on a "first come, first
serve" basis. Computers at the Main
Library are limited to 2 hours per day,
per card. Patrons must use their own
card on the computers.
The Main
Library has three separate computer
labs. The Youth Area Lab is restricted
to ages 11 and under. The Teen Area Lab
is restricted to ages 12 - 18. The Adult
Area Lab has no age restrictions.
Each patron
must sign in, presenting their library
card in order to use the computer lab.
The library card must be in good
standing.
Patrons
unable to provide a library card will be
required to present a picture
identification. This option may only be
used once.
If the lab
is full, or a waiting list has been
established, patrons will be restricted
to one-hour use.
The Peoria
Public Library reserves the right to
designate personal computers to be
utilized for specific purposes.
All users
must follow the Internet
Acceptable Use Policy. Violation
of this policy will result in suspension
of lab privileges. The user may be asked
to leave the library.
Offensive or
abusive language will not be tolerated.
Polite cell
phone use permitted.
No food or
drink is allowed in the lab except
bottled water. Bottled water cannot
however be placed on or near personal
computers.
No "chat
room" or "instant messaging"
activity allowed. |
