History : The concept for this shared use school/public library
facility originated in 1994. By combining funding and working together, we were
able to build a bigger and better library, much sooner than we could have
otherwise. The library opened in 1996.

Sunrise Mountain Library is located on 83rd. Ave. between Beardsley Rd. and Deer
Valley Rd. on the campus of the Sunrise Mountain High School. Parking is
available on the south side of the Library.
The Book drop is located at the entrance to the library

If you are traveling on Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway),
exit at Union Hills Drive Westbound. Take Union Hills Drive to 83rd Avenue. Go
north on 83rd Avenue. At 83rd Ave. north of Beardsly Ave the road becomes Lake
Pleasant Parkway. Take Lake Pleasant Parkway to 83rd Ave. Turn right on 83rd
Ave. Take 83rd Ave to the campus of the Sunrise Mountain High School. Look for
the "Media Center" signs.
If you are traveling on I-17 (Black Canyon Freeway),
take the Loop 101 westbound exit. Take the Loop 101 to the exit at Union Hills
Drive Westbound. Take Union Hills Drive to 83rd Avenue. Go north on 83rd Avenue.
At 83rd Ave. north of Beardsley Ave the road becomes Lake Pleasant Parkway. Take
Lake Pleasant Parkway to 83rd Ave. Turn right on 83rd Ave. Take 83rd Ave to the

Take I-10 to the exit onto Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway). Take Loop 101 to the
