Rio Vista Manager

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to
oversee the Recreation Center and all associated activities
and programs. This is accomplished by scheduling and
assigning tasks, creating reports and marketing materials,
compiling data overseeing maintenance schedules,
participating in the hiring process, and responding to
requests and inquiries. Other duties include developing
community partnerships, overseeing volunteer activities, and
participating on boards and committees and represents the
recreation division in the absence of the Recreation
Manager.

inspecting facility for operational and maintenance
needs, monitoring program activities, monitoring
scheduling of the Recreation Center and Park, responding
to inquiries, developing communications and marketing
materials, and coordinating activities with staff,
departments, contractors and vendors. |

REQUIREMENTS:

Formal Education |
Work requires broad knowledge in a
general professional or technical field. Knowledge is
normally acquired through four years of college
resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. |
|
Experience |
Over three years up to and
including five years experience. |
|
Supervision |
Work requires supervising and
monitoring performance for a regular group of employees
or division within a department including providing
input on hiring/disciplinary actions and work
objectives/ effectiveness, performance evaluations, and
realigning work as needed. A first line supervisor
typically performs these functions. |
|
Human Collaboration Skills |
Recommendations regarding policy
development and implementation are made and/or
recommended. Evaluates customer satisfaction, develops
cooperative associations, and utilizes resources to
continuously improve customer satisfaction. |
|
Freedom to Act |
The employee normally performs the
duty assignment according to his or her own judgment,
requesting supervisory assistance only when necessary.
Special projects are managed with little oversight and
assignments may be reviewed upon completion. Performance
reviewed periodically. |
|
Technical Skills |
Skilled: Work requires a
comprehensive, practical knowledge of a technical field
with use of analytical judgment and decision-making
abilities appropriate to the work environment of the
organization. |

Budget Responsibility |
Position has moderate fiscal
responsibility. Makes recommendations toward fiscal

Reading |
Advanced - Ability to read
