Title:
Finance and Accounting Assistant
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to
provide technical, clerical and administrative support to
the department and elected officials. This is accomplished
by completing administrative tasks, generating bank reports,
providing administrative support, maintaining schedules,
referring visitors to the appropriate department, reviewing
materials, conducting research, and compiling and
distributing agenda information. Other duties include
preparing or planning special events, answering questions
and providing information to the public, assisting with
budget input, monitoring interactions with elected
officials, creating journal entries, researching
discrepancies, and serving on boards and commissions.

Formal Education |
Work requires knowledge of a
specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature
that may be obtained with a two year Associate’s degree,
diploma or equivalent from a college, technical,
business, vocational, or correspondence school.
Appropriate certification may be awarded upon
satisfactory completion of advanced study or training.

Experience |
Over one year up to and including
three years experience. |
|
Supervision |
Job has no responsibility for the
direction or supervision of others. |
|

Work may require providing advice
to others outside direct reporting relationships on
specific problems or general policies. Contacts may
