Citizen's Academy
Are
you interested in learning about how YOUR Peoria Fire
Department operates? Have you ever wondered what it
would be like to be a fire fighter? If so, then the
Peoria Fire Department’s Citizen’s Academy is for you!
The Citizen’s Academy is an eight week program in which
you will learn about various aspects of the fire
department. You will learn about fire department
operations, training, water and hose applications, air
pack usage, medical services, fire prevention services,
and technical rescue. Finally, we will take a field
trip to the Phoenix Alarm room where you will get a
better understanding of how our mutual aid system
works.
