83RD AVENUE AND PINNACLE PEAK DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
Project Description
The 83rd Avenue and
Pinnacle Peak Road Drainage project is one of several individual drainage projects
recommended in the Glendale-Peoria Area Drainage Master Plan.
The purpose of this project is to capture drainage in the area
north of Pinnacle Peak Road between 83rd and 91st avenues and
convey it to the existing drainage infrastructure at Deer Valley
Estates and from there to the New River. Project elements include a
storm drains, laterals, catch basins, and two large retention
basins.

Project
Status
The
Flood Control District of Maricopa County completed the design
in August 2006, and most of the land required for the project
has been acquired. Utility relocations are under way and are
expected to continue through November 2006. The anticipated
construction start date is April 2007.
