LAKE PLEASANT PARKWAY
95th Avenue to Williams Road

Project Description
This project will construct two northbound and two southbound lanes on Lake Pleasant Parkway between 95th Avenue and Williams Road. It also includes construction of a four-lane "connector" road from the intersection of Rose Garden Lane and Lake Pleasant Road to the new Lake Pleasant Parkway alignment. In addition to the roadway improvements, the project will include bike lanes, street lighting, traffic signals, median curbs, box culverts, and median landscaping.

The developer of the Camino a Lago South subdivision is managing the construction of the improvements per the terms of a development agreement with the City. All of the necessary land for the project has been dedicated by the developer.

The bid opening for the construction contract was October 13, 2006.  Continental Homes is currently undecided if they will award the winning bid since the bid came in much higher than anticipated.  If they decide to award, construction activities may be visible in November.  If the bid is not awarded, the roadway project will fall upon the future Wal-Mart to develop which could delay construction up to 6 months.
