67TH AVENUE INTERIM WIDENING

Project Description
67th Avenue, between Pinnacle Peak Road and Happy Valley Road, is a two-lane roadway with various segments improved by adjacent development to four lanes. Traffic volumes on this segment exceed the allowed capacity of a two-lane roadway. This project provides for the construction of temporary pavement to widen this segment of 67th Avenue to five lanes (one additional lane in each direction and a center turn lane). These improvements will provide immediate relief from traffic congestion until the permanent improvements are constructed in the future.
