1C DISPOSITION OF ABSENCE: Discussion and possible action to approve the absence of Mayor Bob Barrett from the Special City Council Meeting held on August 21, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. and the Regular City Council Meeting held on August 21, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. 2C MINUTES: Special Meeting 4:00 p.m. – July 10, 2007 3C Code Amendment, Chapter 22, Special Events Permitting and Approval Process Discussion and possible action to adopt ORD. 07-28 amending the Peoria City Code (1992 Edition) by repealing Chapter 16 pertaining to Special Events, and enacting Chapter 22.1 pertaining to the permitting and approval process for all special events or activities conducted in the City. 4C Veterans Memorial Wall, List of Battles Discussion and possible action to approve the list of battles fought in various wars throughout the history of the United States as part of the Veterans Memorial Wall. 5C Budget Adjustments, Fiscal Year 2007 Discussion and possible action to approve the final year-end budget adjustments for Fiscal Year 2007. 6C Budget Transfer, Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) Contract Discussion and possible action to authorize a transfer in the amount of $4,961 from the Half-Cent General Fund Contingency Account to the Half-Cent Fund City Participation-Outside Programs Account to cover the increased cost for renewing the contract with the Greater Phoenix Economic Council Contract. 7C Authorize Expenditure, Jomax Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) Phase 2 Expansion Discussion and possible action to:
Discussion and possible action to approve the Petition of Formation and adopt RES. 07-128 intention and ordering formation of proposed Maintenance Improvement District No. 1080, Trilogy at Vistancia Parcel C11, located on Trilogy Boulevard and Dixileta Parkway; and adopt RES. 07-129 ordering the work within the proposed Maintenance Improvement District. 9C Deeds and Easements, Various Locations Discussion and possible action to adopt RES. 07-130 accepting deeds and easements for various real property interests acquired by the City and previously recorded by the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office. Discussion and possible action to authorize the City Manager to execute two easements from the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (FCDMC) to formalize an existing sewer line and allow for public recreation uses in a portion of the New River Channel. 11C Easement, Southwest Gas, Municipal Operations Center, Development, 79th Avenue Discussion and possible action to adopt RES. 07-131 authorizing the City Manager to execute an easement to Southwest Gas for gas lines and facilities related to the development of the new Municipal Operations Center at 8850 North 79th Avenue. Discussion and possible action to adopt RES. 07-132 authorizing the City Manager to execute a public utility easement and a dedication of public roadway associated with the construction of the Butler Water Reclamation Facility at 8660 North 79th Avenue. 13C Re-Plat, New River Commerce Park, Lot 9, 83rd Avenue and North of Union Hills Drive Discussion and possible action to approve the Re-Plat of Lot 9 of New River Commerce Park on the east side of 83rd Avenue and north of Union Hills Drive, subject to stipulations. (Project R070052) 14C Final Plat, Blackstone at Vistancia, Blackstone Drive and Moura Drive Discussion and possible action to approve the Final Plat for Blackstone at Vistancia Parcel B7, located at the southeast corner of Blackstone Drive and Moura Drive, subject to stipulations. 17R Rezone, Sunnyslope Estates, 73rd Avenue and Olive Avenue Discussion and possible action to concur with the Planning and Zoning Commission’s recommendation and adopt ORD. 07-29 to approve the rezoning of 1.78 acres in Sunnyslope Estates from Intermediate Commercial (C-2) to Single Family Residential (R1-6) located on the northwest corner of 73rd Avenue and Olive Avenue to allow a 6 lot subdivision development. (Z07-03) 18R Code Amendment, Chapter 2, Claims Process, Proposition 207 Discussion and possible action to adopt ORD. 07- 30 amending Chapter 2 of the Peoria City Code (1992 Edition) to provide a claims process to address claims arising under Proposition 207. Discussion and possible action to approve an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Peoria Unified School District for the development of a frontage road from Olive Avenue to Northern Avenue.
