Neighborhood Grants Program
Peoria will begin accepting Neighborhood Grant applications for the second half of fiscal 2011 beginning October 11, 2010. Applications will be accepted through November 22, 2010.
The City of Peoria’s Neighborhood Grants Program is designed to assist neighborhood-based improvement projects to prevent the decline of neighborhoods throughout the city. Neighborhood groups and associations who are active partners in their community and interested in improving the quality of life of their neighborhoods are encouraged to apply.
The Neighborhood Grants Program is subject to annual funding allocations determined by the Mayor and City Council. Up to $12,000 may be awarded toward any eligible project.
Who can apply?
- Traditional neighborhoods.
- Formal neighborhood associations (HOA communities).
Application/Selection Process
Application deadline will be established on an annual basis. Selections will be made approximately 60 days from application deadline. City staff and/or the Neighborhood Grants Program committee will review all applications. Grant seekers will be required to present their request to the committee and answer any questions about their proposed project.
