City of Peoria Boards and Commissions    There are approximately 21 formal Boards and Commissions in existence, as well as several Ad Hoc Committees. Use the menu on the left to find more information on individual Boards and Commissions and to download agendas, minutes and results documents from meetings.   Scheduled vs Unscheduled   All Boards and Commissions of the City shall be classified as a regularly scheduled or unscheduled Board or Commission.  Regularly scheduled Boards and Commissions are those that meet on a regular scheduled basis or may be quasi-judicial in nature.  Unscheduled Boards and Commissions meet on an as called basis.   A person shall serve on no more than one regular scheduled board at any time, and no person shall serve on any regular scheduled board and unscheduled board where the duties thereof are deemed to be incompatible.   Members of unscheduled boards and commissions may be appointed and or re-appointed at council discretion to one or more unscheduled boards or commissions.   Information on Application to Serve    Information on appointment and applications to serve on City Boards and Commissions can be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, or may be downloaded from the links below.    Appointment to Boards and Commissions Policy CP 1-5 (PDF) Appointment to Boards and Commissions Policy CP 1-5 (TXT)    Download the Boards and Commissions Application (PDF - fillable)  Download the Boards and Commissions Application (TXT)    Youth Advisory Board Application (PDF - fillable) Youth Advisory Board Application (TXT)    Frequently Asked Questions    Applications can be delivered in person or mailed to:  City of Peoria - Office of the City Clerk 8401 W Monroe St, Suite 150, Peoria AZ 85345   Once received, your application will remain in the active files for one year. A City Council Sub-Committee on Boards and Commissions Appointments was formed for the purpose of providing for a small group review of "on-file" applications. Appointments are made whenever there is a need to fill a vacancy.  The Committee’s recommendations for appointment are forwarded to the Council as a whole for official appointment.
