SPECIAL EVENTS

The City of Peoria hosts many exciting special events throughout the year for our community. Whether it's the annual 4th of July All American Festival or the illumination of hot air balloons at the Halloween Monster Bash and Balloon Illumination in October, there is plenty to see and do at each special event for the entire family.

SPORTS COMPLEX

The Peoria Sports Complex, with its 13 baseball fields, is home to the Seattle Mariners and the San Diego Padres. It also holds various tournaments, festivals, concerts, arts and crafts shows, and other community events.

This division also oversees the maintenance and operations of the Rio Vista Community Park which features little league fields, a splash park, sand volleyball courts, a playground, a fishing lake and picnic ramadas.  The second phase of this park includes more little league fields, and multipurpose fields that were completed in October of 2006.  It also includes the new Recreation Center and a veteran’s memorial that  was completed the summer of 2007.
