Curbside Recycling Comes To Peoria
The City of Peoria provides a co-mingled curbside recycling program for Peoria residents. There is no need to separate or bag the recyclables.
Acceptable Items:
- Paper - newspaper, magazines, junk mail, phone books, soft cover books, office and writing paper.
- Plastics (with the symbol #1 and #2) - water jugs, milk jugs, juice jugs, detergent bottles and water bottles.
- Cardboard - broken down boxes, cereal boxes, detergent boxes, and shoe boxes.
- Aluminum - soda cans, foil paper, pie plates (clean).
- Metal - steel can (vegetables, fruit, soup cans).
- Glass - jars, beverage drinks.
DO NOT RECYCLE - shredded paper, plastic bags, grass trimmings, plastics above a #2, toys, household trash, medical waste, packing material, soda boxes, pizza boxes, plastic cups or plates, napkins, glass windows.
