The second phase of the Grand Avenue widening project has begun, which will add a third lane in each direction on a 10-mile stretch of Grand Avenue, between Loop 303 and 99th Avenue.  Construction activity is occurring on the western portion of the project, between Loop 303 and Bell Road, as well as on the eastern portion to install three sound walls, between 99th Avenue and 111th Avenue, on the south side of Grand Avenue.  All sound walls are expected to be completed this spring.
