LOOP 101 TRAFFIC
INTERCHANGE (TI) WIDENING (P0607)
Project
Description
This project
will widen Olive Avenue under the Loop 101 to three lanes in
each direction and increase the turning lanes to two lanes in
each direction. The embankments will be removed and
vertical walls will be constructed under the abutments.
The paving will line up with the new lanes that the City of
Peoria is constructing east of the Loop 101 at 91st Avenue and
Olive Avenue.

Project Status
Utility relocations are currently underway. SRP irrigation
facilities are being relocated and noise walls are being built
prior to the ADOT administered widening. The City’s contractor
should be completed with their work by March 2010. ADOT is
anticipated to have their contractor start work on the actual
road widening by summer 2010. The ADOT bid opening is
February 26, 2010.
The widening project is
expected to be completed in the summer of 2010.
