COTTON CROSSING - PHASE II IMPROVEMENTS

Project Description
This project is the second phase of a joint effort project between the City of Peoria and a private developer (Wal-Mart) to extend the existing recently constructed six-lane Cotton Crossing arterial roadway south, crossing the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad tracks and intersecting with Grand Avenue.

The new Cotton Crossing/Grand Avenue intersection will be a signalized intersection, owned and maintained by the Arizona Department of Transportation. In addition, roadway improvements to Grand Avenue will be required at this intersection to account for new turn lanes and roadway pavement grade adjustments.

Furthermore, in cooperation with another developer, Cotton Crossing has been extended southwesterly, from Grand Avenue, connecting to the existing 83rd Avenue/Mountain View Road intersection. That project is complete.
