Peoria Police Department arrest suspect in
connection with homicide and the shooting of Officer Bill Weigt The Peoria Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with the homicide that occurred at 6900 W. Cinnabar and the shooting of Officer Bill Weigt at 8800 W. Olive that lead to the death of Damon A. Hicks that occurred on December 17, 2005. After being interviewed by detectives from the Peoria Police Department Hassin Hennix, DOB 05-25-82, of Phoenix has been arrested and is being booked into jail on charges of: 2 counts of 1st degree murder 1 count of Armed Robbery 1 count of Kidnapping 1 count of 1st degree Burglary There will not be a booking photograph of Hennix released at this time as we still need to show photo line-ups to victims involved in this matter. His face will also be concealed when he arrives at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office jail so we are sure we do not hamper the use of the photo line-ups in future court proceedings. I’ll release a booking photo as soon as the photo line-ups are shown to all those needing the see them. ### |
