Promotions Announced by Peoria Police Department The promotions of three employees were celebrated Wednesday, September 20, during a ceremony at the Peoria Police Department. Sergeant Chris Cole Chris was sworn in by City Clerk Mary Jo Kief as a police sergeant. Chris has been with the department since January of 2003 and will be supervising a team of patrol officers on our day shift. Prior to coming to our department Chris was with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for 16 years and is very experienced in numerous areas of law enforcement. Staff Services Bureau Manager Donna Marcum Donna Marcum has been promoted to the Staff Services Bureau Manager and is responsible for recruitment, accreditation, training, and policies and procedures. Prior to her appointment to this position, she served as the Department’s Training Specialist. She has nineteen years of experience working in the criminal justice system and has served as the Academy Manager with the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections, the Program Manager for Crime Victim Services at the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission, and a Training Specialist with the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board. She graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business. She also has a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. Communications Supervisor Ann Shaw Ann started her career with the police department in October of 1991 as a Communication Specialist. With her promotion, Ann supervises the dispatch and 911 operators on our day shift. Ann has an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. |
