Reporting crimes made easier
Victims of a select group of property crimes now have the ability to
easily and quickly file a police report with the Peoria Police
Department
If you are the victim of a theft, lost property, criminal damage,
burglary from vehicle, open garage burglary or non-injury traffic
incident that occurred more then 24 hours ago, you may choose from
three options to report your incident.
On Line: Go to www.peoriaaz.gov and click on the on-line report box
with the red and blue flashing lights. You will be able to file all
the necessary information and a report number will be sent to you.
Mail Back: Call the Report Hotline at 623-773-5044 and follow the
instructions. You may request a report form be mailed to you.
Complete the form and mail it back to the Police Department.
In Person: The victim may come into the Peoria Police Department
located at 8351 W. Cinnabar Avenue and file the report with the
Station Officer.
If you call the Peoria Police Department to report an incident
meeting the situations listed above, your call will be transferred
to the Report Hotline.
This process has been designed for crimes where there are no
suspects. For crimes in progress or emergency situations, we still
want citizens to call 911.
This program is a great benefit to both the victim and the police,
as it frees up the police officer to handle calls of a higher
priority and allows the victim, who does not have the time to wait
for an officer to come to their location, to have a report taken.
