ACCIDENT VICTIM IDENTIFIED
Peoria
police have released the identity of a Glendale man killed in a
traffic accident August 18, 2005. 58-year-old Jeff Douglas
Coochwytewa died as a result of injuries he sustained in an accident
at 75th Avenue and Northern.
Coochwytewa was driving a 2003 GMC 4x4 northbound in the southbound
lanes of 75th Avenue at approximately 11:30 A.M. The victim failed
to stop at a red light, causing his vehicle to strike the rear
section of a semi truck which was traveling eastbound through the
intersection.
Coochwytewa was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced
dead. The driver of the semi truck was not injured.
