PEORIA POLICE
OFFICERS TRADE TICKET BOOKS FOR SERVING TRAYS DURING TIP A COP
FUNDRAISER
Peoria Police Officers
will take their commitment to “serve” and protect to new heights,
taking orders instead of giving them this Friday at Cattlemen’s
Steakhouse in Peoria.
This is the 2nd year PPD officers have partnered with the staff at
Cattlemen’s to benefit Special Olympics. Off-duty officers will work
as waiters and waitresses, serving customers for “tips” which will
be donated to Special Olympics. All “tips” are a tax-deductible
donation to Arizona Special Olympics. It’s a fun-filled night that
bonds the community, allows the public to help a great cause and
meet local law enforcement officers who will serve meals throughout
the night.
Special Olympics is a grass-roots movement that provides year-round
sports training and athletic competition to children and adults with
intellectual disabilities through more than 200 programs in 150
countries around the world.
The Tip-a-cop event will be held this Friday, July 29th from 5pm –
9pm at Cattlemen’s Steakhouse located at 16840 N. 83rd Ave. (83rd
Ave. just south of Bell Rd.) in Peoria.
