Peoria Police and Buca di Beppo Arrowhead team up in support of Special Olympics Location: Buca di Beppo Arrowhead 16091 N. 83rd Avenue (across the street from the Peoria Sports Complex) Dates: Monday July 17 to Sunday July 23, 2006 From Monday July 17 until Sunday July 23 bring in a golf ball in any condition and receive $5.00 off your check at Buca di Beppo located at 16091 N. 83rd Avenue in Peoria. This offer is in support of the Peoria Police Department’s Golf Ball Drop for Special Olympics. While you are there you can purchase a golf ball for a chance to win a new Kia Sorento from Peoria Kia or many other great prizes for $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00. On Saturday August 5th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Peoria Police Department will host a Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser Event for Special Olympics at the Peoria Sports Complex Stadium. As part of the event the Police Department will have police equipment on display and there will be other organizations on hand with safety information, including a VIN etching, so you can get your vehicle’s identification number etched on your windows to help prevent auto theft. There will be activities for kids of all ages, including a Dunk-A-Cop tank and fingerprinting. At noon a Native Air medical helicopter will drop the golf balls onto the stadium’s outfield. The semi-finalists with the six balls closest to the Peoria KIA flag will meet at Peoria KIA on Saturday August 19th for a chance at winning a new KIA. In addition, contestants can instantly win a variety of prizes if their ball lands closest to other flags marking those prizes. Golf balls will be available for purchase the day of the event or you can call 623-773-7063 for more information regarding the event or where you can purchase a golf ball. This event is in support of Special Olympics Arizona and is part of the 2006 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. So far this year the Peoria Police Department has raised over $10,000 for Special Olympics Arizona. ### |
