West Valley DUI Task Force Arrests 32 On Saturday July 8, 2006, the Peoria Police Department hosted a DUI Task Force at the Peoria Public Safety Administration Building. There were nine agencies who participated in the task force: Peoria Police Department, Glendale Police Department, Surprise Police Department, El Mirage Police Department, Goodyear Police Department, Buckeye Police Department, Tempe Police Department, Phoenix Police Department, and the Arizona Department of Public Safety. There were 47 officers working the task force and the total numbers from all participating agencies are listed below. o Contacts—282 o After 2:00 AM DUI—0 o Aggravated DUI –1 (2 prior convictions for DUI) o Extreme—2 (BAC of .15 or greater) o Misdemeanor DUI—28 o Minor consumption—1 o Minor DUI—0 (person under 21 years old arrested for DUI) o Other Citations—80 o Seat belt citations/Child Restraint—0 o Average. BAC - .125 Stops were made at a rate of approximately 40.3 per hour between 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM. In addition it shows that 11% of the stops resulted in an arrest for DUI or Minor Consumption ### |
