Peoria Police has 4th of July holiday reminders 4th of July is just around the corner and many folks are going to make a long weekend out of the holiday. We want everyone to enjoy the holiday but the Peoria Police Department would like to pass on some safety reminders. o Fireworks are ILLEGAL in Arizona. The use and possession of any firework is a crime and you could be arrested for possession of them, including sparklers. Keep you and your family safe and let the professionals do the entertaining!! o Use alcohol responsibly. If you are going to be traveling have a designated driver. o If you are going camping or using off-road vehicles let someone know where you will be, when you are planning to return, and show them on a map where you will be. o A cell phone can save your life in an emergency. Make sure to take a cell phone with you when traveling, camping or just going into the desert areas for the day. o Make sure your vehicle is ready for a trip, let someone know your route and take extra food and water just in case you break down. ### |
