ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT ARRESTED Suspect information Stephen M. Curts White Male - 6 Feet Tall - 160 Pounds - Short Hair DOB: 01-29-1986 (Photos Attached) Charges 1 count: Armed Robbery 2 counts: Kidnapping 2 counts: Aggravated Assault On Thursday, June 15, at 9:20 PM Officers from the Peoria Police Department responded to an armed robbery which occurred at the Mr. Goodscents located at 8940 West Bell Road #107 in Peoria. The suspect gained entry through the rear door of the business as the three employees inside were closing for the day. The suspect pointed a handgun at the employees and demanded money. He then took cash from the register and fired a single round from the handgun in the direction of one of the employees. The projectile exited the store’s front window striking the covered walkway. The suspect fled out the back door. On Tuesday June 20, 2006, Stephen M. Curts was arrested by Peoria PD detectives at a residence in Mesa. He was taken into custody without incident and after being interviewed he was booked into the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Jail 4th Avenue Jail. ### |
